Cellulite Treatments

Cellulite is a common problem for a lot of women around the world.  Unfortunately, statistics will show that a large percentage of women have cellulite on their bodies. Apparently, almost all women may encounter cellulite at least one point in their life after puberty. The most commonly affected skin areas are the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. This can pose to be quite an annoying problem to a lot of women, especially those to value their physical appearance. Cellulite is the common name used to call particular pockets of fat that develop, which eventually makes the texture of the skin irregular, and can damage the tissues. Fortunately, there have been several cellulite treatments that can help cure the condition.

Cellulite treatment is rarely easy, and it is certainly not quick. Merely diet and exercise may not be able to treat cellulite, but it certainly helps. Having a balanced, nutritional diet can help flush toxins and regulate digestion and metabolism. Metabolism and hormones are one of the factors that develop cellulite. Carefully regulating what you eat and drink can greatly help lessen the development of cellulite. A rigorous exercise routine can also greatly help. Burning calories and extra fat will help reduce the formation of cellulite.

There are also many health product companies that have created various products that claim to have the ability to treat cellulite. However, it is important to note the ingredients of a product before trusting a companies’ claim. Creams, potions, and pills which contain antioxidants can help, but consumers must remember that cellulite is difficult to get rid of and may take more effort than simply using these products.

Another cellulite treatment method is a surgical procedure called Liposuction. The basic principle of liposuction is that it sucks out the unwanted fat that are contained between areas of the skin and muscles. Anesthesia is involved in this surgical procedure. An instrument called the cannula is fastened to a suction and is used to make little incisions through the skin.

There is a type of liposuction that may not need to involve anesthesia, it is called the Tumescent liposuction. The tumescent liposuction uses a lidocaine solution that is combined with epinephrine. There is very little loss of blood because it is a vasoconstrictor.

An endermologie machine may also be used an effective cellulite treatment because it targets areas with cellulite. It uses rollers to massage affected areas, and suctions parts of fat. The connective fibers eventually elongate, and the stored toxins, fats, and excess water are expelled. This procedure encases the patients in a large stocking.

There are many different methods of cellulite treatment. Suction, laser, and massage are widely used, there are even treatments that use electric stimulation. A few valuable pointers to remember in choosing a good treatment is that it must include the strengthening of blood vessels, encourage tissue production, stimulate elastin and collagen production, repair damaged cells, balance water, prevent damage, decrease inflammation, and increase exfoliation.

Any cellulite treatment may take large amounts of effort and time, a good start in any treatment is the basic diet and exercise. It is also better to stay away from smoking, alcohol and too much stress.
