Exercise for Cellulite

Every woman struggles with the unsightly appearance of cellulite. And every woman has done everything in her power to reduce or eliminate the look forever. There are creams and diets that you can try if you are trying to banish cellulite, however exercise seem to be the most effective means to eliminate the problem. Exercise for cellulite entails dedication and perseverance, but if you stick to your program, you should be able to get rid of your cellulite, and maintain your physique so that it is hard for it to return.

The most common exercise for cellulite is aerobic activity and cardiovascular exercise. What you want to do here is establish an exercise routine that will increase your heart rate and get your blood flowing. You can implement any cardiovascular exercise into your daily routine, and for the most part, it does not matter what exercise you choose when you are fighting cellulite. Any exercise that will get your heart pumping will be a good one. You can however choose cardiovascular exercise that targets those areas where cellulite is most extreme. These would be your butt, thighs, and hip areas. Exercises that will target these areas include brisk walking, jogging, treadmill, elliptical machines, or even swimming.

Another very good exercise for cellulite is anaerobic activity. These activities do not focus so much on increased heart rate, but on how you utilize the oxygen in your body. These will metabolize your fat by increasing your muscle mass. Again, you can choose exercises that will target specific areas. By doing so, you increase muscle in the areas where cellulite is accumulating and minimize the chance of fat and cellulite accumulation. The exercises you choose for anaerobic activity will be weight bearing exercises and involve a slower pace than cardio workouts. Perform leg lifts with ankle weights, leg presses, leg curls, or even squats using an exercise ball.

All of these exercises will target your specific cellulite bearing areas and eliminate fat while building your muscle mass. By exercising on a daily basis, you are not only getting rid of cellulite, but you are also improving your overall health along the way.
